My Approach

We often label the challenges that life presents as failures or successes; I believe that the challenges are what hold the opportunity to learn and grow.  I believe therapy works best when there is a good fit between a client and their therapist.  In my role, this involves being flexible, supportive, open and transparent in order to help you define and work towards your goals.  I assist clients in empowering themselves, by building on their strengths, promoting insight, and providing a safe space for them to explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, histories, identities, values and relationships. My goal is to work along side you, help you further understand and accept your emotions, and build insight and skills to move forward while decreasing your distress.  I offer a non-judgmental, collaborative, trauma informed approach that utilizes various therapeutic techniques to adapt to my client's needs including insight-oriented, mindfulness, exposure, DBT, ACT and CBT therapies.
